Ten to Twelve are a band that's poised for success. The group - 24-year-old vocalist Vasuthon Kriangpratakit (Mor), 24-year-old bassist Charnchai Chitpatanapaibul (Ahu), 28-year-old guitarist Torsak Tanjasutarak (Tor) and 24-year-old drummer Pongpon Chongwatpon (Mond) - don't quite know how to describe their unique brand of rock, but they know that their main motive is to have fun.
Ten to Twelve have been close friends since their school days in Bangkok and have released several singles during their six years together. Their latest is the FAT Radio chart-topper, "Chid (Close)." The guys are currently completing their debut album, which is due out later this year.
Student Weekly recently caught up with singer Mor to hear all about Ten to Twelve's music, origins and plans for the future.

Student Weekly: How did your band first get together and start making music?
Mor: I joined the band later than everybody else. When they started, they didn't have a proper lead singer. I knew all the guys from school, and I knew that they always practised at a rehearsal studio. One day I asked if I could come along. At first I just helped them to write songs, but eventually they asked me to be their singer.
Student Weekly: Where did your name Ten to Twelve come from?
Mor: We used to practise during the weekend. We were always supposed to meet up around 10 am, but most of would come late, so we wouldn't get started until noon. That's how we came up with the name.
Student Weekly: What led to your signing with Believe Records?
Mor: We used to take part in lots of band competitions, but we didn't like playing covers. We write our own songs, so we just entered contests that allowed bands to play original music. Eventually we got a record deal after competing in the Believe Audition Day contest, arranged by the label back in 2007.
Student Weekly: Can you tell us about your recent hit single, "Close"?
Mor: It's one of our most straightforward songs. It's a love song that I wrote for a girl that I like. I'm really glad that people like it. It's very catchy and you can dance to it.
Student Weekly: When can we expect your full album?
Mor: We've been releasing singles for almost four years now, and we've almost finished our debut album. Hopefully everybody will get to hear it around December.

Student Weekly: How would you describe a Ten to Twelve live performance to somebody who hasn't seen you guys before?
Mor: I don't know! [Laughs.] I think we have our own unique style. It's very energetic - we try to bring as much energy as we can to our performances. We also really try to connect with the audience. People will have to come to our shows to see for themselves.
