Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is the latest in the highly successful Command & Conquer real-time strategy series.

The game is set in the year 2047, at a time when the Earth is covered with Tiberium � a kind of radioactive alien goop that has infected the entire planet and made much of it uninhabitable.

The world is divided into different zones based on how much Tiberium is in each area. While Blue Zones are relatively safe to live in, Red Zones are total wastelands. In between, are the Yellow Zones, ecologically ravaged places where most of the world�s population lives � and wars.

Yes, there is a war in the game � and it�s a big one. On one side is the GDI, an alliance of the world�s most advanced nations who are working to contain the Tiberium. On the other side is Nod, a group led by the megalomaniac Kane, who is determined to use the Tiberium to take over the world and put an end to the human race as we know it.

BUILD YOUR BASES

So now that the world is at war and it�s up to you to save it from destruction, what do you do? You do like any good soldier would and start building bases, military units and weapons, and then you manage it. This is, after all, an RTS game.

While some RTS games get bogged down in micromanagement, C&C 3 uses a clean and easy-to-use game interface to make sure that taking care of your army is fun rather than a chore.

In between building your army and tackling lots of varied missions, you�re treated to live-action cut scenes that move the story along. The scenes are beautiful and well-acted by big names like Josh Holloway from Lost and Billy Dee Williams from Star Wars.

HIT OR MISS?

Overall, C&C 3 is a great addition to the franchise and a must-have game for RTS fans. Gamers can easily spend weeks with the single-player campaign, and if they get bored with that, they can take things online for even more action with gamers from around the globe.
