Letter of the week
ENTERTAINING LEARNING
Im 16 years old and studying in the English and French branch of Yothinburana School.
My mother always buys me Student Weekly magazine. I first started reading it when I was studying English from Matayom 1 to Matayom 3. Since then, I have always continued to read it.
My favourite section is Entertainment, especially the movies column. When I know the outline of a movie, it keeps me up to date and makes me want to go to the cinema.
On top of this, the vocabulary in each column is very important. I think its a suitable learning tool for all students. I plan to read Student Weekly forever.

DO YOUR BEST
This is my second letter to Student Weekly. I am a trainee at World Vision Thailand, and I have translated letters from children for World Vision.
I have found that in rural areas, many children have little aid or money for their education. Some children dont even have parents, but they still want to try to study.
I would like readers who have all of the above things do their best.
Nattanicha Ninmanee Khon Kaen
That sounds like an interesting job, Nattanicha. Its great to know that people are out there working to help make life better for disadvantaged children. Thanks for your words of encouragement to all your fellow readers. Editor
PERFECT PRACTISE
Hello, my nickname is Mai. Im 12 years old, going on 13, and Im going to be a Matayom 1 student this year. That means that I have to study harder than six years ago.
I like to study English so much and other languages like Korean and Chinese, too because I want to be an ambassador in the future. I have to practise, practise and practise.
I think that there are many ways to practise English, like watching movies and listening to music. I love to listen to music so much. Sometimes I discover the meaning of the lyrics, which makes me love English even more!!
I like the Quiz column very much. I always open to that page first when I get Student Weekly.
I believe that practise makes perfect.
Benjaporn Saligupta, Bangkok
What a great letter, Mai. Im glad you like the quiz. Youre right, practise is the key to making your English better. Using songs and movies is a great, fun way to help improve your understanding of vocabulary, idioms and slang. Good luck in Matayom 1. Editor
