Director Sofia Coppola once again explores the vacuousness of modern Hollywood celebrity culture in her latest film, The Bling Ring.
Soon after starting at a new high school, Marc (Israel Broussard) befriends fame-obsessed Rebecca (Katie Chang), and the two soon come up with a plan to break into Paris Hilton’s house and steal some of her belongings.
After showing off what they have stolen to their friends Nicki (Emma Watson), Sam (Taissa Farmiga) and Chloe (Claire Julien), they all decide to return to Hilton’s house to steal more goodies.
Before long, the whole gang is breaking into the homes of Hollywood celebrities who are out of town in order to steal their valuable belongings. However, things come to a head when CCTV footage of one of their robberies ends up in the hands of the police.
Catch the action, drama and dark humour when The Bling Ring hits cinemas on September 5.
