Medical Council drafts regulations
The Medical Council of Thailand plans to draft new regulations, standards and training sessions to control beauty treatments in order to protect consumers.
On February 21, Samphan Komrit, the council’s secretary-general said that the sub-panel also plans to draft the criteria for training courses for dermal filler injections.
The short course will be provided to new medical graduates and doctors who express interest, Samphan said, adding that the draft regulations will be drawn up by March 10.

Salinity levels high in river
Chao Phraya River salinity exceeds normal levels at many points in the capital, Bangkok governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra said in a statement.
The governor inspected canals in Rat Burana district on February 21. Salinity in Khlong Rat Burana near the sluice gate stood at 12.6 grammes per litre, and Khlong Srisurat at 6.2 grammes per litre. Salinity in natural waterways should not exceed 1.5 grammes per litre, Sukhumbhand said.
Other locations along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok also recorded higher than normal salinity levels, Sukhumbhand said.

Stolen parts
Police raid garage
Police raided a car garage on February 21. It happened in Chachoengsao province. There were motor parts from eight stolen cars at the garage. Two suspects were arrested.
