Mermaid tries to save her family
Directed by the well-known Hong Kong actor and director Stephen Chow, The Mermaid is a fantasy movie about the relationship between a handsome business tycoon and a mermaid.
Liu Xuan (Deng Chao) runs a huge real estate project which is killing the many merfolk who live in the ocean. In order to survive, the merfolk decide to send a beautiful mermaid, Shan (Lin Yun), to assassinate Liu Xuan. However, the plan fails because Shan and Liu Xuan are attracted to each other. The merfolk then kidnap Liu Xuan and try to make him understand the damage his company is doing to the sea life.
