Did you know

Line currently has more than 33 million users in Thailand.

Since starting in Japan in 2011, smartphone application Line has become hugely popular internationally. The application offers features such as video calls, voice calls, and text messaging with more than 10,000 stickers and cute characters to choose from.

The Line characters Brown, Moon, Sally and Cony became particularly popular among teen users when they were featured in Line games like Line Rangers, Line Pop, Line Bubble and Line Play.

Since Line is so popular in Thailand, BEC-Tero recently arranged the Line Game Fest, which features a slew of Line sticker characters, games and other activities.

Student Weekly recently went along to check out the fun at the Line Game Fest, which is taking place at The Space Central World until June 21.

The exhibition is divided into nine zones, all of which feature various Line-related games and activities.

Line’s special Thailand edition character Kinnara Cony greets visitors at the entrance.
