Card skimming suspects arrested
Police on September 27 arrested three Bulgarian men for allegedly running a card skimming operation targeting ATM users in Phuket.
The arrests were made following complaints from about 100 people who lost money to electronic card skimming. Teams of police were deployed near ATMs where the skimming was suspected. Georgiev Slavchev Tsvetozargev, 44, Guenadiev Nikolov Valentin, 42, and Nestorov Yanev Tsvetan, 42, were arrested.
Police said that they would question the suspects and expand their investigation into electronic card skimming.

Satisfaction stats released
More than half of respondents surveyed by the Suan Dusit Poll say they are quite satisfied with the performance of the National Council for Peace and Order over its first four months in office.
A total of 1,626 people nationwide were surveyed in the poll, held from September 22 to 28. Of the respondents, 52.64 percent said they were quite satisfied with the NCPO since it took control of the country in May.
Some 38.93 percent were most satisfied with the performance of the NCPO as peace was restored to the country. However, 6.09 percent of respondents said they were not happy with the NCPO’s work as people’s grievances remained unsolved. Some 2.34 percent of respondents were dissatisfied.
