Before getting the lead role in Avatar, Sam Worthington was completely broke and living in his car.

In the new crime thriller, Texas Killing Fields, homicide detectives investigate a recent spate of murders in Texas, leading them to a haunted dumping ground known as the Texas Killing Fields.

Hard-nosed homicide detective Mike Souder (Sam Worthington) and his partner, New York detective Brian Heigh (Jeffery Dean Morgan), are called to investigate the case of a missing girl in a neighbouring county.

They have few clues and have trouble getting anywhere with their investigation, but things heat up when Little Anne (Chloe Moretz), a street kid that Brain has taken under his wing, goes missing.

The search leads Brian to the Fields, and Mike soon follows after him. Before long they discover that the hardest part about visiting the Texas Killing Fields is coming out alive.

Catch the drama and suspense when Texas Killing Fields hits cinemas on November 3.
