Players paradise Hot pursuitBy Shaun Conlin Racing by the seat of your pants Game: Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice Not so much a race game as a chase game, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice makes for a great portable title. Its broken into short pursuit-and-shoot sequences that one might see in a low-budget movie with big-budget action scenes. While the story and dialogue would be utterly forgettable if it werent all so annoying and stupid, the meat of gameplay is straight-up fun harrowing races down wide-open highways, up snaking rivers and through the odd shopping mall or two. CARJACKING FUNIts one-handed driving, as you also shoot at the baddies that youre pursuing. Better still, get close enough and you can actually jump out of your vehicle at 160 kilometres per hour, finish shooting them, then commandeer their vehicle to carry on the pursuit of others. If your vehicle takes too much damage, you can commandeer any vehicle that happens to be motoring along in the vicinity. In this case, you dont shoot the owner, but rather drive him home at breakneck speed while you carry on shooting at the baddies. Its not a game that you can come back to again and again. Its just visually exciting, over-the-top driving action served up in snack-sized segments exactly what you want in a portable game. Cox News Service
