Film review Retro love storyRenee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor star in this love story from the past Photograph courtesy by Twentieth Century Fox, Thailand Inc.
Down With Love has tried to just that. It is an old-fashioned romantic comedy with an interesting twist. It stars Chicago's Oscar-nominated actress Renee Zellweger and Moulin Rouge's Ewan McGregor. The film is the story of a spark-filled collision between a woman who has sworn off love and a ladies' man who thinks he doesn't need love. Barbara Novak (Renee Zellweger) hits New York City with her new book Down With Love, a manifesto that tells women to be more like men - that it's okay to enjoy sex without love or ties, and have a career as well.
The story of Down With Love is set in the early 1960s. So filmmakers have tried to produce the movie as if it was made at that time. They have even used technology that was popular at that time. Besides seeing a film from a long gone era, the moviegoer will also learn how men and women should deal with each other. If you're looking for a bit of retro style, check out this film from August 15.

Movie
styles often change as the years go by. Keeping up with the latest trends
can be difficult for filmmakers. But designing and making a movie look
like it was produced nearly ten years ago is also a big challenge.
