Machine are one of the most interesting contemporary Thai rock bands around.
They became well known with their popular track �Pan (Pass),� which was
named song of the year at the 2007 Seed Awards.
The band recently released their third album, Grey. The music on this record sticks close to Slot Machine�s signature style.
The first single �Fun (Dream)� showcases a unique sound, smooth melodies and nice, simple lyrics. This track shows off the powerful voice of singer First to great effect.
Other tracks that stand out include �Loem Loke (Outta Space),� an interesting mix of rock and dance beats, and �Vaeng Vang (Auto Lonely),� a song with a retro-rock sound.
As well as taking care of the music, Slot Machine design their own visuals and music videos. In a music scene dominated by manufactured pop, Grey is a piece of art from a real band. � VH
