Located in the mountains of Doi Inthanon National Park, the Royal Agricultural Research Centre is an interesting place to visit during the cooler months, especially for ecotourism enthusiasts and those who love a fresh breeze.

For this week’s Freeze Frame, SW takes a look at the scenic venue and nearby sites.

The centre encourages visitors to try fresh macadamia nuts. Visitors can eat any ripe nuts that have fallen from the trees.

In front of the main gate stands a market that sells a variety of local plants, herbs, vegetables and fruits.

On the way to the research centre, tourists can see Sriphum Waterfall.

Visitors can roam inside the plantation to see cold climate fruits up close. Processed fruits are also for sale, including gooseberry jam.
