SS501 get close to their fans
The Triple S fan club must have made other K-pop fans jealous when they got up close to their favourite boy band, SS501. The five guys Kim Hyun Joong, 22, Park Jung Min, 21, Kim Kyu Jong, 21, Heo Young Saeng, 21, and Kim Hyung Jun, 21 held their first official Thai fan club meeting on August 29.
The event at Grand EGV theatre kicked off an hour late, but the 400 or so female fans there didnt mind at all. Once the guys hit the stage, the theatre was filled with satisfied sighs and excited screams.
WORDS OF LOVE
The sweet-talking Jung Min told the crowd how happy they were to meet their Thai fans.
Next time, bring your friends so that we can see even more people, he said.
The guys also showed Triple S their Thai language skills. Fans couldnt control themselves when Kyu Jong said I love you in Thai. When Hyung Jun went one better with I love you more, the fans went completely crazy.
INTIMATE MOMENT
• Did you know • |
SS501 acted in a Japanese TV series called Hotelier in 2007. |
SS501 surprised a few lucky fans by giving them a short dance lesson on the stage. When it was Jung Mins turn to pick a girl out of the crowd, he called for somebody born on his birthday, April 3.
Bandleader Kim Hyun Joong had to give a dance lesson to a shy and reluctant fan. He told the crowd to scream frantically as he held her hand so that she could relax into the moves.
Fans then selected cards containing orders that they had to read out to each band member. Hyun Joong was ordered to stare into a fans eyes for 30 seconds. When he put his face close enough to kiss the girl, the crowd couldnt contain themselves, screaming madly and stomping their feet.
GREEN GOODBYE
At the end of the get-together, the guys handed green T-shirts to their fans on the stage green being SS501s official colour. Some of the girls may have been disappointed when the host told them to not hug the guys as SS501 gave out souvenirs, but everybody left with happy faces.
