1. C. We need the indirect article a before long journey because journey is a countable noun and it is singular.

2. B. looking to recruit. Recruit is the wrong word. You cannot recruit a position, but you can fill one. You can recruit people but not positions.

3.             A, C and D.

A              is very strange. Single can mean unmarried, but it seems unlikely that the advertiser is interested in the marital status of the secretary. Perhaps the advertiser meant one. Perhaps he has only one vacancy for a secretary. We cannot guess.

C             is incomplete. It should say two of the following and then list the languages.

D             is incorrect because we do not use to before abroad. The correct form is often travel abroad or perhaps travel abroad often.

4.             This is a good example of compost. All the underlined sections except B are wrong (in B, specialty is an alternative spelling of speciality).
