Letter of the week

GOOD NOODLES

My nickname is Petch. Last vacation, I went to Yokohama, Japan with my sister. It was our first time going there. We spent time together and made lots of memories.

We went the Cupnoodles Museum, an amusement park and the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. I adore Yokohama; it is charming. I can't stop missing this city now that I'm back.

I would especially recommend the Cupnoodles Museum, a special place. If you don't have any idea where you want to go in the city, you can go there.

Cupnoodles Museum has a special activity — making your own cupnoodle! You can design and create your cupnoodle. I think it's interesting. And I can confirm that you can eat it, because I ate it already.

That really sounds like a whole lot of fun, Petch. Your letter also taught me a couple of things that I didn't know. I looked up the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse to see what it is. And I never would have guessed that there's such a thing as the Cupnoodles Museum. Thanks for teaching me something. There's another museum on the list of places I should visit, I guess. — Editor

SCHOOL DREAMS

My nickname is Teng. I'm in Pathom 6. I'm going to have my admission test for Matayom 1.

I think that everybody wants to study in a famous school. So do I. I want to go to Suankularb School.

I hope that everybody passes their admission tests and gets into their dream school.

Wut Wisarta,
Bangkok

I hope you do great on your entrance exams, Teng. I know it's probably a pretty stressful time right now, but I'm sure you'll do great. Stay focused on your studies, but also remember that getting enough sleep, exercising and eating right are all extremely important if you're going to perform at your best. Be kind to yourself. Good luck. — Editor

PLANE DISASTER

I recently saw a video clip online. The clip is from a dashcam in a car in Taipei, and it shows a plane crashing into a bridge and into the water.

The video is very frightening. Many people died in the plane crash, and nobody knows why the plane went down. The plane also hit a taxi on the bridge and injured the people who were in that car.

I hope that the survivors of the crash are OK, and I hope they find out what caused the crash.

Ekkachai,
via email

Those images were certainly shocking, weren’t they, Ekkachai. It will probably be a while before we know what went wrong. Don't let it stress you out too much, though. Air travel is actually quite safe — you're more likely to be hurt or killed in the car on the way to the airport than you are once you're in the plane. — Editor
