Did you know
Baan appeared in the TV series Cinderella with Sandals.
It isn’t easy for a couple to maintain their relationship from high school to university.
The movie, 367 Days: Him and Her, tells the story of Head and Tine, played by Kanut Rojanai (Baan) and Cholrudee Amornluk (Joon), who fall in love in high school and date until they graduate from university. Their relationship becomes long-distance after Tine moves to live with her mom in Hong Kong.
367 Days: Him and Her will be released on August 27, when viewers can find out whether the couple survives their ups and downs. Student Weekly recently met up with 21-year-old Baan and 19-year-old Joon, who told us about working on their debut movie.
Student Weekly: What does the title, 367 Days: Him and Her, mean?
Baan: It’s more than an ordinary love. Every year has 365 or 366 days but in the movie we love each other more than that. It’s beyond time.
Student Weekly: How did you feel about making the film?
Baan: I was excited and wanted to do my best because it’s my first movie. Acting in a movie is different from my TV commercial experience because it records every small detail from several angles.
Joon: I like acting. I’m proud of doing what I like.
Student Weekly: How did you prepare for the dramatic scenes?
Baan: An acting coach told me that when the mood is right, just let it all out. I thought that was going to be the hardest part of the movie, but it wasn’t after all.
Joon: I tried to get into the role naturally as much as possible. It was difficult in dramatic scenes when I couldn’t get into the feeling because my mind sometimes wandered.
Student Weekly: Do you think a long-distance relationship can work?
Baan: If we love each other, anything is possible.
Joon: If we love somebody, being near them is much better. But if it needs to be long-distance and we love them, we will wait.
Student Weekly: How do you feel working together?
Baan: At first, we weren’t close and we were nervous. After breaking the ice it was much better, and we became closer. Joon laughs a lot and she told me that I often make funny faces, but I don’t think I do anything like that.
Joon: In the love scenes I felt shy, so I laughed. Baan is nice and cheerful. He’s like a brother to me.
Student Weekly: What was your favourite scene?
Baan: I liked the scene where I rode a motorbike. I wasn’t good at first but now I can ride well.
Joon: I liked filming at Phu Chi Fa mountain. We went up there at four in the morning and waited for sunrise. We were on a cliff with stunning views.
Student Weekly: Baan, did you experience culture shock when you attended high school in Hawaii?
Baan: Not at all. I stayed on Kamuela Island and the local people were very friendly. Visitors should know the do’s and don’ts in Hawaii. You shouldn’t take a volcanic rock home because it brings bad luck. But local people believe that if somebody brings a rock home and mails it back to the original place, it will bring good fortune. I didn’t take any rocks home.
Student Weekly: Why should we see 367 Days: Him and Her?
Baan: The movie features different styles such as comedy, romance and even drama. The movie will give you faith in love.
Joon: This film is different from other love movies. It’s very intense and dramatic, but with a hint of fun.
