Eye doctors on March 17 provide treatment to patients at Rajamangala University of Technology’s Suvarnabhumi campus in Ayutthaya. The event set a Guinness World Record as 50 doctors were able to provide treatment to 450 patients within one hour.

Police round up gang
Police rounded up 13 youths believed to be members of a motorcycle theft gang in Chon Buri. Officers also seized 18 stolen motorcycles and a large number of spare parts.
The suspects, aged from 12 to 15, were charged in connection with a spate of thefts in Sri Racha and Bang Lamung districts.
Police said the youths, all students at a Bang Lamung district school, were members of a gang run by a 17-year-old identified only as Yai. A warrant would be issued for his arrest, police said.

Men arrested with drugs
A Hmong man was arrested in Chiang Rai on March 16 with one million methamphetamine pills, while another drug suspect was detained in Prachin Buri, police said on March 17.
Jia Sae Tha, 43, from Chiang Mai’s Phrao district, was arrested while allegedly transporting six bags containing a total of one million methamphetamine pills through Chiang Rai’s Mae Suai district. Meanwhile in Prachin Buri, officers raided a house in Si Maha Phot district and arrested Mawee Nizun, 42, with about 18,000 methamphetamine pills.

Leopard cat found dead
A leopard cat was found dead. It happened on March 17. The cat died on a road near the Huay Kha Khaeng wildlife sanctuary in Uthai Thani. Officials said drought might have forced the cat to come out of its habitat to seek water.
