SW visits a unique nation

The United Arab Emirates is an Arab country located in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula. The UAE is a federation of seven emirates, each of which is governed by an emir. The country has a population of about 8 million people, with a great diversity of culture, plenty of natural resources and a large number of modern architectural wonders.

For Freeze Frame this week, SW takes a look at some of UAE’s famous tourist attractions.

Located in Abu Dhabu, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of UAE’s landmarks. Full of dazzling decorations and designs, it is the country’s largest mosque

Heritage Village in central Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE, displays a variety of exhibits about lifestyles and traditions of the Bedouin and other local cultures.

Dubai Creek is a well-known saltwater creek in Dubai. The spot is popular among fishermen, pearl divers and foreign tourists.

Built in 1787, Dubai Museum, which is located at Al Fahaidi Fort, shows exhibitions about the history, culture and development of Dubai.
