More than half of young people surveyed are ignorant about Visakha Bucha Day, according to a Bangkok university poll released on May15.
The poll of 1,233 youths aged 13-25 in Bangkok, found that 55.6 percent of people did not know the importance of Visakha Bucha Day, while 44.4 percent knew that it marks the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Lord Buddha.

Hope, adjustment and the sufficiency economy are what psychologists say are needed to cope with stress caused by the rising cost of living.
Manarom Hospital official Kraisit Narukatpichai said that many private companies have asked hospital psychologists to help their staff, whose stress is evident from their poor performance in the office.
�Stress can cause people to develop anxiety, sleeplessness and poor emotional control, and they may become aggressive. This could lead to suicide,� Kraisit said.
