Mueang Thao U Thong Island is one of the most popular attractions in Chai Nat. The island is a well-known place to watch rare birds such as teals and Asian openbill storks.

Chai Nat is not only famous for its delicious pomelos, but it also has a number of interesting tourist destinations and scenic views.

For this week’s Freeze Frame, SW takes a look at some of the province’s popular sites.

Tourists enjoy shopping for local souvenirs and handmade gifts at the Baan Oy community, where villagers create products from water hyacinth.

Visitors who are interested in cloth and woven clothes shouldn’t miss the Lao Wiang cloth-weaving centre, which is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm.

Baan Neun Kham is a village known for its pha sin (traditional long skirts).

Ecotourism enthusiasts can explore green rice fields in many parts of Chai Nat.

The Tha Chin River is an important source of water for local residents.

Buddhist pilgrims should visit Phichainawat Temple. Built in the Ayutthaya period, the temple is one of the most respected religious sites in Chai Nat.
