Heroes of Newerth

Heroes of Newerth is a Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux free-to-play science fantasy, action real-time strategy game, which is basically a clone of the very popular Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne custom map, Defense of the Ancients (also known as DotA). This game was developed by S2Games, who made Savage: The Battle for Newerth and Savage 2: A Tortured Soul.

HoN (short for Heroes of Newerth) shares may aspect from Warcraft 3: DotA (IE: game play, skill sets, items), but not all were transferred from the original. And may things, such as server connection problems, were also upgraded and fixed.

The game play aspect of this game is similar to Warcraft 3: DotA, which lets players create a room for matchs that let other players to join. These rooms allow 10 players at most and can divide players into groups. And before the fights start, every players will have to choose an hero character from one of two tribes (Legion or Hellbourne), which are categorized in to 3 types (strength-plenty of endurance, intelligence-best set of skills, agility-week in the beginning but becomes very strong in the end). These hero characters those players can choose use in the fights will have 4 skills (enhance statistics or can be use in fights) which can be brought with points they earned from every fight they played or brought with real money. Matches will end when one of the side's towers were all destroyed or every player on one side all surrender.

The items in this game have a lot of importance to help you to obtain victory as much as how well you can play the game. Because they can emphasis the strength or reduce the weakness of the hero character that you can choose or even can be used for countering the opposite side. Which is why players should buy items those match their hero character.

As of present, this game is free-to-play, although you'll be able to pick a smaller selection of hero characters. If you want to choose a specific hero character, you'll have to purchase him with your points.

I think this game is a fun game to play with a team of friends. And also, this game also get new hero character updates and system enhance fixes pretty frequently.
