Pop poet

Stamp makes his mark

With hit songs like "Kwam Kid (Ideas)" and "Kon Tee Kun Kor Roo Wa Krai (Somebody You Know)," Stamp's first album, "Million Ways to Write Part 1," was an overwhelming success that won many awards. Now the popular singer-songwriter is back with his second album, It's Been So Long.

The album features a folk rock style that is stronger than the synthesised sounds of his first record. Stamp used a live band on this album, making the music more interesting than before. The thoughtful lyrics create some interesting metaphors by comparing love to other things.

It's Been So Long features many special guest musicians, including drummer Kavin Biddle from The Begins, Champ from Crescendo and ModernDog guitarist May-T.

While Stamp's new album isn't quite as easy listening as his previous effort, the songs are still strong and well worth checking out. - VH
