Directed by Australian filmmaker Jocelyn Moorhouse, The Dressmaker is a quirky comedy-drama about a beautiful and talented dressmaker named Tilly Dunnage (Kate Winslet).
After years of working as a dressmaker in exclusive Parisian fashion houses, Tilly returns home to a small town in the Australian outback to reconcile with her eccentric mother Molly (Judy Davis). While back in Australia, she also falls in love with a good-hearted guy named Teddy (Liam Hemsworth).
Armed with her sewing machine and highly developed sense of style, Tilly transforms the women of the town, while at the same time getting sweet revenge on all those who did her wrong in the past.
