Letter of the week

TOP CHART

Hello, I'm Watsachon. I want to talk about the top five songs on the music chart last week. Hearing those songs on the radio impressed me a lot. It's the best music chart I've ever heard. It had songs by Adele, Sam Smith, One Direction and Justin Bieber. Number one of the chart was "What Do You Mean" by Justin Bieber.

Thanks for writing in, Watsachon. It's great that you enjoy hearing the latest hit songs on the radio. Just remember that if you want to own any of the music by your favourite singers, you should try to by a CD or download it legally rather than downloading it illegally. Or you can just enjoy it for free on the radio. But however you get your music, keep listening and enjoying! — Editor

COLD COMFORT

Hello, how are you? I have something to tell you.

Last holiday I went to visit my mother in the countryside. The weather was very cold and I was very happy to be wearing a jacket. In Bangkok, there is almost no chance to wear a jacket, even during winter.

Marayad Jamsiang,
Bangkok

I enjoy some nice cold weather every now and then too, Marayad. As I mentioned in my Editor's Note this week, I just had a short trip to Taipei, where the weather was nice and cold. Like you, I enjoy wearing jackets and other winter clothes that you just don't get to wear in Bangkok — except maybe in the Student Weekly office where it's always freezing! — Editor

LIBRARY LOVER

I like going to the library very much when I'm free. I go to the library to read books about science because it's an easy way to get information. The library is also a nice calm place to read. Sometimes I can see my dear friends at the library, reading just like me.

Pornporm Saelao,
Bangkok

It's nice to hear that people are still reading books and visiting libraries, Pornporm. When it comes to studying things like science, it's important to get your information from books by reputable authors and publishes, rather than just relying in the Internet, on which anybody can write anything without it necessarily being correct or true. Keep up the good work. — Editor
