SW visits a pretty province

Recognised as one of the most sparsely populated provinces in Thailand, Loei has plentiful natural resources, picturesque mountainous areas and beautiful scenic views.
For this week’s Freeze Frame, SW explores some of the popular tourist sites in this north-eastern province.
Adventurous travellers are encouraged to visit Bodhisattva Cave, which is surrounded by numerous hills that are good for hiking. |
Beautiful views can be seen from the observation deck at Suan Hin Pha Ngam Park. |
Those interested in ecotourism will enjoy the scenic forests, rice fields and greenery in Loei. |
Locally known as the “Mount Fuji of Loei,” Mount Phu Hom is one of the tallest mountains in the province and can be seen from a great distance. |
E-taek is means of local transportation that can carry up to 10 passengers at a time. |
