Samuel L. Jackson has acted in more than 100 films.

Directed by Kyle Newman, Barely Lethal is an unusual new action-comedy about an unlikely assassin.

Megan (Hailee Steinfeld) has been raised and trained as a young assassin by the Prescott Institute, a secret military school. From the age of four, she has learned to suppress all emotions as she undergoes extensive training to develop fighting and weaponry skills. Highly skilled, she is the first to graduate and be sent to active duty at the age of 15, much to the jealousy of her classmate and rival, Heather (Sophie Turner).

During a mission to capture an arms dealer named Victoria Knox (Jessica Alba), plans go awry and Megan loses contact with her team. Realising her opportunity to escape her dangerous job, Megan allows the head of Prescott, Hardman (Samuel L. Jackson), to assume that she's dead.

Megan uses her freedom to live life as an ordinary teenager attending a normal school in a small town.

However, with Victoria still on the loose and out for revenge, Megan soon finds that she can't escape her past quite as easily as she thought.

Catch the action and humour when Barely Lethal hits local cinemas on June 25.
