A good way to escape the summer heat is to cool down by the sea. Thailand's beaches — from the busy tourist spots to the quieter, less well-known islands — are famous around the world.

For this week's Freeze Frame, SW takes a look at fun activities on seven beaches around Thailand.

Above: Railay Beach in Krabi is a destination where tourists can either laze on the beach or enjoy rock climbing.

Above: Saikaew Beach is one of the most popular beaches on Koh Samet, and is well known for its crystal clear water.

Above: Patong Beach is Phuket's most famous tourist destination. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities on the beach, including parasailing.

Above: Pattaya Beach in Chon Buri has many events throughout the year, including the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival.
