Movies : Pick of the flicks
After delays, budget cuts and venue problems, the Bangkok International Film Festival is back on track and headed to SF World Cinema City in CentralWorld shopping centre. This year�s festival focuses more on Asian movies and stars but still features more than 100 movies and short films from countries all over the world.

Movies : Girly boy
Ladyboys are a comic staple in Thai movies, and a lot of famous actors have taken on the challenge of playing kathoey characters. For his part in the new movie Tud Soo Food (Kung Fu Tootsie), 21-year-old Academy Fantasia 3 contestant Sittichai Phabchompu (Boy) learned that playing a convincing drag queen involves more than throwing on a dress and a pair of high heels.

Music : Singular sensation
In 2005, the first runner-up of Academy Fantasia 2, Patcha Anek-Ayuwat, was outstanding on the reality show�s stage. Her powerful-yet-sweet voice never failed to blow the audience away, especially when she sang pop ballads.
