People's poet
On June 26 each year, Thais celebrate the birthday of legendary poet Phra Sunthorn Voharn, widely known as Sunthorn Phu. Born during the reign of King Rama I in 1786, Sunthorn Phu wrote a great number of classic poems, stories and epics. As the most admired writer of the Rattanakosin era, he was declared a World Poet by UNESCO in 1986.

The 6th Youth Leadership Development Camp was held on May 20 and 21 in Trang province. Arranged by Pfizer Thailand Foundation and the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, the annual camp aims to develop leadership and teamwork skills, as well as encourage teens to help their own communities.
