Tonhorm is also a sport anchorman for cable TV.

Having a slew of DJs from popular radio stations Hot FM, EFM, Chill89 and Greenwave perform on stage at the same time is bound to result in some chaotic fun. This coming weekend, more than 30 celebrity DJs will put that idea to the test at the DJs on Stage show at Thammasat University.

Student Weekly recently met up with DJ Peerapon Senakun (Ikkyu) from Hot FM, DJ Sakuntala Teinpairoj (Tonhorm) from EFM, DJ Supol Phuasirirak (Bell) from Chill89 and DJ Toushanond Jarupatchanee (Fiat) from Greenwave to hear all about their upcoming show.

Student Weekly: How would each of you describe your DJing styles?

Ikkyu: I'm energetic and I try to get to know my audience when they call in. I always ask them lots of questions.

Tonhorm: I'm funny, but I give good advice to my listeners. Lots of young listeners look up to me as a role model.

Bell: I'm not really an entertainer, but I provide in-depth information about the songs I play. I also give the latest news about fun activities in Bangkok.

Fiat: I entertain the audience and try to inform them about social responsibilities and environmental issues.

Student Weekly: Which live concert has impressed you guys the most?

Ikkyu: I like John Mayer's concerts. He's a great singer-songwriter and the audience can connect with him when he performs. He always maintains his style, even when he works with hip-hop artist Kanye West.

Tonhorm: Clash Rebirth the Final Concert was impressive. Each band member performed their own songs and the whole audience sang along.

Bell: I liked the tribute concert for acclaimed songwriter and producer Rewat Puttinan. It was an inspiring concert with many top musicians and singers.

Fiat: I saw a powerful concert by the Japanese jazz-pop fusion band Dreams Come True. Miwa Yoshida and his band mates were vigorously entertaining throughout the show.

Student Weekly: How do you feel about having more than 30 DJs at one show?

Bell: It reminds me to our company outing. I had fun seeing performances by all the DJs on that day.

Student Weekly: Can you tell us more about the show?

Bell: There'll be singing, a talk show and a stage play during the three hour show.

Fiat: You'll be surprised by what DJs can do!

Student Weekly: Ikkyu and Tonhorm, since you're not professional singers, how did you prepare to sing onstage?

Ikkyu: I usually practise by singing karaoke.

Tonhorm: My voice is just naturally great! [Laughs.]

Student Weekly: Do you feel much pressure performing for this show?

Fiat: Absolutely. For me, it's like a sports day for DJs. And we don't want the show to be a flop.

Ikkyu: Everybody's taking the show seriously.

Student Weekly: Which performance was the most memorable during your last outing?

Ikkyu: Fiat's performance last year. He dressed up like Mum Laconic and did exercises while he was singing.

Student Weekly: What can fans expect from your upcoming show?

Tonhorm: Our fans will have a chance to see a different side of us. Every DJ will get to show abilities that they've never shown before.

Bell: Our fans will go home happy after seeing the show. There'll be beautiful songs and hilarious sketches, so you shouldn't miss it!
