Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province in China, has plentiful natural resources and popular tourist attractions. The city is within reach since a direct flight from Bangkok is now available.

For this week’s Freeze Frame, SW takes a look at the city’s most popular spots.

Built between 1960 and 1968, the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge has good views of the city.

Visitors walking along the Spirit Way, which leads to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, can see sculptures of both real and mythical animals.

The area of Fuzimiao has many restaurants and shops, making it popular with visitors.

On some streets in Fuzimiao visitors can take a rickshaw to explore the area.

Every year millions of people come to visit the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, which is located on Purple Mountain in Nanjing. Sun Yat-sen was the country’s first president and is seen as the father of the Chinese nation.

One of the must-see places to learn the history of Nanjing is the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Museum. About 300,000 people were killed in the massacre in 1937.
