This week's Education topics are...

Speakeasy : Yeah, right
In this weeks conversation, Joe, Nok and Noi are arguing about music.
They all have different opinions, but they all use similar expressions, which are underlined. Read the conversation and then do the exercise about the expressions meanings. Remember to try to catch these expressions when you watch English-language TV or movies and use them yourselves.

Easy Exercises : Animal antics
Here is a picture taken from the Bangkok Post. It is a group of people protesting against hunting wild animals. Dont worry about the context; examine the picture closely and answer the questions that follow.

Karaoke Korner : Give and take
Joss Stone clearly isnt shy of singing about the big issues. This song is actually about drug abuse destroying a relationship. In the song, we hear that Josss ex-boyfriend (we can assume) is wasted, which can mean strongly affected by alcohol or drugs; that he needs a fix, which can mean something that you need frequently, especially an illegal drug; and that her boyfriend is sniffing on snow snow is street slang for cocaine.

University Tips : Test yourself part 4
Over the past term, the University Tips column has presented many topics that will be of use to those of you who wish to take the University Entrance Examination.
