CD REVIEW : Chingyville
Is it any wonder that American rap star Chingy is Tata Youngs favourite artist? After all, the two are so similar. No Tata isnt out rappin in the clubs of St. Louis. But what she and Chingy do have in common is that both have pretty much copied the sound of hugely successful artists, recorded a couple of catchy songs and called the results an album of their own.

Music : [V] for victory
The Channel [V] Awards keep getting bigger each year and this years ceremony played host to quite a few international stars. What is supposed to be an event to recognise the best in local and foreign music seemed to focus more on the foreign this year.

Family this. Family that. Anywhere you go around this country its hard not to notice the importance of the family in Thai society.

Gossip : Pricey princess
Straining her celebrity status to its limits recently was Britney Spears, who apparently demanded that a Miami nightclub pay her to visit the venue. No, not to play at the venue, just visit. The toxic 22-year-old had planned a trip to the trendy Mynt disco, but her staff requested $2,000 for her appearance.

Feature : Soul Superstar
While most 15-year-old girls are talking about guys, makeup and homework, young Jamelia Davis had already signed with a major record company. At the tender age of 18 she was making waves on the UK R&B scene with the release of her hit single Money. At that time the sky seemed the limit for this queen of soul.
